Eugene Gendlin (1926–2017)

The "Litany of Gendlin" goes like so:

1. What is true is already so.
2. Owning up to it doesn't make it worse.
3. Not being open about it doesn't make it go away.
4. And because it's true, it is what is there to be interacted with.
5. Anything untrue isn't there to be lived.
6. People can stand what is true,
7. for they are already enduring it.
